Why choose Cat Queendom?

At Cat Queendom, our specialty is cats and understanding their nature is our passion. We understand that a cat is a cat, whether they are big or small and even small cats share the same nature and instincts as their larger ancestors. This means that even domestic cats are highly territorial because our natures prime hunters at heart. They do this by marking their scent everywhere. The mark their territory by rubbing their sweat glands on furniture, people and themselves. Under situations of stress in particular environments they might even claim their territory by spraying urine. Introducing cats to new environments can increase their stress response which is why many cat parents prefer an at home cat sitter over boarding their cat. Some cats may react by hissing, growling or patrolling their area when introduced to new cats or other animals.

Cat sitting is the best option for cats who prefer the comfort of their own home. They can nap and relax in their favorite sunny spot and maintain their daily routine. This all helps to reduce anxiety and stress related behaviors such as potential digestive upset.

One on One Care

Cat Queendom will tailor our care to your cat’s specific needs. This means that feeding, playtimes, grooming and cuddles can all revolve around your cat’s schedule. We try our best to be available at the times that align with your cat’s normal feeding schedule. Communication and transparency is very important to us and we understand the level of trust that you’re putting in us while you’re away. This is why we provide daily updates with photos, videos and messages for peace of mind. There is no chance of your cat being overlooked. We are at their service.

Reduced Risk of Illness and Stress

Cats who are able to stay home in their own environment reduce the risk of exposure to parasites and viruses that could potentially present new environments around other animals. The stress from being around loud noises and scent overload can weaken a cat’s immune system making them less resistant to illnesses. This can be especially concerning when in close proximity to other animals in a boarding facility which increases the risk of contracting contagious diseases like respiratory infections and panleukopenia, a highly contagious viral disease that can affect cats.

Better Value for Experience

You may find that a cat sitting with Cat Queendom offers a better value than boarding for the price. Being able to get updates and knowing that your cat is cuddled and has playtime at no extra charge can make a huge difference for you and your feline family. Many boarding facilities charge extra for snuggles and playtime as well as photos which can make booking care for your cat at the comfort of their home a more cost effective choice overall.

Added Home Security

Cat Queendom also offers additional home services. We can help take care of your home while you’re away. Some of our other home services include bringing in mail and packages, watering plants, rotating lights or blinds for a “lived-in” look and taking trash bins to the curb and back. That extra presence deters potential break-ins and keeps things running smoothly.
